Assure On-Device Web Filter: MacOS

This guide will cover on how to manually install our Assure On-Device Web Filter via MacOS (Macintosh).

Installer process

1. Download the Assure On-Device Web Filter Installer from our source below: 
   1. MacOS: Assure On-Device Web Filter Installer
2. Double click on the installer to start the installation process:
   
   
3. Click Continue, then Agree with the license:
   
   
   
   
   
4. Will ask to confirm space on your system before continuing:
   
   
   
   
5. It may prompt for your system profile password, this will then finish the installation process:
   
   

Install Assure Web Filter Certificate

1. Download the Certificate installer from your Assure Web Filter:
   1. Login to Assure Web Filter as an Administrator and under the Admin section, go to SSL Decryption Certificate:
      
   2. For either Generated or Uploaded certificates, at the bottom of the page you will find the SSL Certificate URL link, that will redirect you to a separate page to download SSL Decryption Certificate installer:
      
      
      
2. Once the installer has downloaded. Double click on the Certificate installer and will bring up the Introduction prompt. Click Continue:
   
   
3. Confirm there is enough space to install the Certificate and click Install:
   
   
   
   
4. Finalise the installation by entering your system profile password:
   
   
   
   
   1. It will prompt security for your system profile password since it will be making changes. Enter the password and click Update Settings:
      
      
      
      
   2. Once completed, it will prompt the certificate installation was successful:
      
      

Install Configuration Profile

1. Saasyan support will provide the configuration profile once the tenant has been deployed.
2. Once received the configuration profile. On the end user device, double click on that configuration profile file, and should prompt you a "Profile installation" notification which this will ask you to review in order to install it:
   
   
   
   
3. Open System Settings, search for Profiles within the Search Bar (Next to the Magnify glass icon) and double click on Assure On-Device Web Filter within the right-side tab:
   
   
   
   
4. Click on Install button to install the configuration profile on your device:
   
   
   1. It will ask you to confirm installation by entering your system profile password to complete the installation:
      
      
      
      
      
5. Restart your system after completing installation. Once it has restarted and logged back in, the Assure On-Device Web Filter application will start automatically as you will see the icon appear on your notification bar.
   
   
6. The Login page for the Assure On-Device Web Filter will automatically appear from your default browser, and prompting for you to log in. Once logged in, the Assure On-Device Web Filter is ready to use:
